Becoming a Governor

The College is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and diversity and actively seeks to recruit governors who possess the requisite skills and who reflect the composition of the staff, students and the community which the College serves.

We are keen to involve people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. You may have experience in business, education, community or social work, charities, financial or legal practice. Or you might be an entrepreneur. This voluntary role brings many rewards. The College’s Mission is ‘To raise the aspirations and achievements of students of all ages and abilities by providing outstanding education.’ Join our Board of Governors and help the College achieve its Mission.

The Chair of the Governors, Richard Martin, and the the Clerk, Jill Haslegrave, are always interested to hear from anyone who would like to know more about the work of the Corporation or to discuss the possibility of becoming a governor. Both can be reached via email at haslegj@tauntons.ac.uk or by phoning 023 8051 4716 or 023 8051 1811.
